North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) conducting job task analysis study.

The National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM) is excited to support the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) in their important job task analysis study.

This study aims to define the entry level scope of practice and essential knowledge for Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs), which will inform updates to the NARM examination ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with midwives' actual roles and responsibilities.

NACPM encourages our members to contribute by completing the survey that explores the tasks you undertake and the knowledge you apply in your midwifery practice. Demographic and background information will help NARM understand the opportunities and challenges faced in diverse settings and within diverse cultural identities.

Please check your email associated with NARM where you can find the login information.

Allocating 1-2 hours to complete this survey not only aids in enhancing our profession's standards but also offers personal benefits. Participants will receive a $50 discount on their recertification fees and earn three continuing education credits for category FIVE of the NARM Recertification Application.

Please note, your responses will be treated with confidentiality, and the survey window closes on 03/04/2024. We extend our gratitude to those who have already participated and urge others to seize this opportunity to shape the future of midwifery. Your insights are invaluable in ensuring our certification processes reflect quality practice. Thank you for your dedication and support in this endeavor.

Also, a thank you to NARM for completing this ongoing task for our profession and the communities we serve.
