You do not want to miss this powerful screening event addressing the disproportionately high rates of maternal mortality among Black women in the US through the award-winning documentary film, Aftershock. The film follows the fathers and families of two women who tragically passed away after childbirth, shedding light on grief, mutual aid, healing, and activism. Panel members include Tonya Lewis Lee, Jeanine Valrie-Logan, and Michele Morgan, with Tracey Lewis-Elligan as the moderator. Attendees will have access to the film two weeks before the event, with segments shown during the discussion, encouraging audience participation.
