Understanding Eating Disorders During the Perinatal Period and Finding Resources

The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is partnering with the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health to provide eating disorders education and tools specifically useful during the pregnancy and postpartum period.

Eating disorders are serious mental and physical conditions. Folks who are pregnant and/or postpartum are at risk so it's critical to be informed to promote early detection and help seeking.

 In this webinar, we'll explore:

-Warning signs and symptoms

-How eating disorders happen alongside other mental health issues such as anxiety and depression

-How to have an open and honest conversation with someone you may be concerned about

-Access to resources to support help seeking

-Treatment recommendations/guidelines for clinicians treating those during this time period
