Birth Center Equity

Birth Center Equity (BCE) is the only national organization specifically investing in Black, Indigenous, people of color-led birth centers to grow and sustain community birth infrastructure for generations. Since our founding in 2020, the BCE network has grown to include nearly 60 Black, Indigenous, people of color-led birth centers, creating a powerful community of care, practice, and power. In 2025, Birth Center Equity and our partners committed to Beloved Birth 50 by 50, our bold audacious goal: By 2050, 50% of babies in the US will be born with the care of midwives.
