National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health (formerly Advocacy Day): Virtual Congressional Meetings

Join MMHLA on March 10 for National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health: Virtual Congressional Meetings.

This once-a-year event is an opportunity to join forces with people from across the country to meet (via Zoom) with federal elected officials in support of maternal mental health programs that serve thousands of moms in the U.S. every year.

This is an inspiring and powerful way to show up for a cause that matters to you and to make a positive impact on the mothers in your life.

Let's help moms and save lives — join us!

What is this one-day event?

This is a one-day, online event organized by the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) where you get to meet with your federal elected officials:

  • To advocate for the continued federal funding of maternal mental health programs

  • With other people from your state

  • On March 10 between 11am - 5pm EST

  • Via Zoom

What are the programs that I will be advocating for?

The two programs we are advocating for are:

  1. The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline (1-833-TLC-MAMA): Provides 24/7 voice and text resources and support to moms and families.

  2. The Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Program: Provides education, consultation, and resources to healthcare providers who support mothers.

These programs serve thousands of mothers every year, and they help to address the maternal mental health crisis that mothers in the U.S. are facing.
