The National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM) is thrilled to announce its first-ever virtual national conference, coming May 20-21, 2026. With the theme Centering Midwives, Restoring Care, this gathering will spotlight the expertise, leadership, and lived wisdom of midwives and our partners advancing community-based perinatal care across the U.S.
Call for Session Proposals
We invite 1 hour speaker proposals that translate evidence into practice, uplift equity, and strengthen sustainability for midwives and families. An honorarium of $100 will be provided.
Topic ideas include:
Advanced clinical topics
Cultural congruency / JEDI
Leadership development
Current research and data
Quality improvement
Education and workforce development
Policy and legislation
Systems integration
Addressing midwifery burnout
How to apply: Please complete the application (title, 250–300 word abstract, learning objectives, speaker bios) by November 1, 2025.
Who Should Submit
CPMs, CNMs, CMs, students, educators, researchers, community advocates, payers, policymakers, data/QA leaders, and interprofessional collaborators. We strongly encourage proposals that elevate underrepresented voices and community-rooted perspectives.
Selection & Notifications
Proposals will be reviewed for relevance, rigor, equity focus, innovation, clarity of learning objectives, and practical impact. Notifications will be sent in late November.
